Who we are

We are Texas Ketamine, Death Metal band from Boise Idaho. Formed in the Summer of 2021 by a group of friend, we try to showcase a diverse representation of old school death metal, while trying to incorporate more modern slam influence without taking away from the old school feel. To us it is important that no track sounds alike. Our goal is to make unique music while avoiding repetition, as well as bringing intense energy and performing memorable sets that are sure to leave an impression. 2021 - Prime Rib Demo

Recorded in Chases garage just weeks after forming a solid lineup we recorded the Prime Rib demo. The result was an extremely raw, abrasive and in aggressive representation of what remains one of our most popular tracks.

2021 Texas Ketamine - Texas Ketamine

Our first full length release, tracked again, in Chases garage, then sent out for mixing and mastering. This album helped us find the sound we had been working to form. Using heavy influence from old school death metal, Chases riffs helped add nods to slam and Phoenix adding his melodic solos and harmonies, creating a new sound that helped shape us into what we are today. With this album we tried to represent a wide variety of our sound, while avoiding tropes. We feel this album showcases our unique sound as tracks like, "Nailed to the Cross" help represent our more slammy sound, as tracks such as, "Prime Rib" and :When Blade Meets Bone" showcase our more unique "signature sound" and tracks such as "Self Titled" represent our more melodic side of things.

LIve shows

Since our formation in the summer of 2021 we have played a large amount of local shows as well as toured the west coast. Our live performances have become popular in the area as we bring as much energy as humanly possible, in conjunction with the craziest frontman to come up in recent years. Tegan heads up on stage every show covered in blood and full of rage. You can often see him climbing metal support beans around the stage, jumping in the pit, and of course falling to the floor as we preform emotional songs such as Bruised.
